Lewis Crampton

Hi, my name's Lewis Crampton. I live in Newark, I'm 15, and I've been riding since mid 2007. My brother used to play around on scooters a few years ago, doing simple things like jumping over drains. I saw him, and thought it'd be quite fun, and after watching videos on the internet, such as one of Jesse Macaluso's mini videos and Micro X-treme clips, I became inspired to take it up. I started with a plastic scooter before progressing to several micros, then JD Bugs, and now a Razor Ultra Pro.
My two favourite skateparks are Bottesford, which I ride with Graham Kimbell, and sometimes Sam Carter, and the other is Kent Street skatepark in Grimsby, because this is where I used to live and began to ride.
I ride two to three times a week, sometimes more, depending on the weather. This is because I dislike riding flat, and my local skatepark is both unsafe and generally inadequate for scooter riders. In winter, as is expected, I ride much less, and so progress is difficult to make. However, since living near Graham, I have progressed in every way as a rider and person, and he is a great inspiration to me.
I have two most proud moments as a rider. One of which was representing Razor at a demo at Revolution skatepark, and the other was getting a phonecall confirming that I could be on the team, and also that I had been allowed to represent Razor again during the summer tour. Being a member of team Razor is very motivating to progress further in the sport.
